New Delhi, Feb 21: Major investors and who's who industrialists of Uttar Pradesh gathered at the Uttar Pradesh Summit in Lucknow. All eyes were stuck on Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. And he indeed made big announcements.
"Jio is one of the largest investors in UP with investments over Rs 20,000 Cr investment. Jio will be present in every single village in UP by the end of 2018, " said Mukesh Ambani at UP investors' Summit in Lucknow.
Ambani said that the Ganga river is very reverent for the Indians and he, n his own humble way will contribute 10,000 crore investment for the cleansing of the Ganga.
He also said that more than 1 lakh jobs will be created in this direction. Not just that he said that 2 core Jio mobile phons will beprovided in Uttar Pradesh in next two years.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two day Uttar Pradesh investors' summit in Lucknow.
The event is being organised by the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh to showcase the investment opportunities and potential of the state.
Finland, the Netherlands, Japan, Czech Republic, Thailand, Slovakia and Mauritius have been identified as country partners for the event.
Several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed during the summit, the statement said.
The prime minister had inaugurated the global investors' summit in Guwahati and the 'Magnetic Maharashtra' event earlier this month.
