New Delhi, Feb 22: Reliance Jio has been ruling the telecom industry with its ultra-low-cost tariffs to gain more users and retains them by offering huge cashback and other vouchers. The company not only revises its offers at regular intervals but also pressurising other other telecom operators to come up with better plans.
In such battle of tariffs, now Airtel has updated its Rs. 98 prepaid recharge pack to offer users with 5GB of 4G/ 3G data for 28 days. As of now this recharge pack is only available only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle and does not offer free calls or free SMSes. This recharge pack is clearly aimed at high data consuming users and do not have much need of voice calls.
If calculated Airtel Rs. 98 recharge pack provides data at Rs. 20 per GB which is comparatively high considering the operator offers 28GB data at Rs. 149 which is roughly Rs. 5 per GB of data.
