New Delhi, Jan 9: Effective from today, Reliance Jio has slashed prices of its data plans up to Rs. 60 that offer 1GB data per day. Reliance Jio has been revising its data plans at regular intervals to keep its customers intact and gain new ones. This game plan of Jio has also forced its competitors to come up with revised plans everytime Jio makes any changes. In a latest, Airtel is the first operator to revise its prepaid plans to offer more validity and data without raising prices in a bid to keep users from switching to Jio. The updated plans are priced at Rs. 448 and Rs. 509, and are available to all prepaid consumers.
Airtel revised plans of Rs. 448, Rs. 509 plans
The Airtel Rs. 448 plan will now offer a validity of 82 days whereas earlier it offered 70 days, so it means data also increases in the plan by 12 GBs, as the plan earlier offered 70 GB but now offering 82 GB data, along with these users will get free voice calls, roaming outgoing calls, free 100 SMSes per day, as well as subscription to Wynk Music and Airtel TV apps, remain the same as before.
Jio Rs. 449 pack will offer a validity of 91 days with 1GB data per day which calculates to 91GB of total data while Jio Rs. 448 plan will offer 84-day validity with 1.5GB data per day, which calculates to 126GB of 4G data including free calls (including roaming), 100 free SMSes per day, and Jio apps subscription.
Airtel has also updated its Rs. 509 plan that will now offer more validity, revised from 84 days to 91 days. With 1GB data 4G data daily, other benefits of calls and SMS remains the same.
The Rs. 498 Jio plan will now offer 1.5GB data for 91 days, totalling of 136GB data for the period.
Jio Rs. 509 plan has less validity but more daily data, users in this plan will get 2GB data per day and validity of 49 days which means a total of 98GB of 4G data for 49 days
