Jio not free anymore, know much you will have to pay

New Delhi: Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani held a livestream press conference on Tuesday to make few announcement related to Reliance Jio.

"Jio has more than 2X 4G base stations compared to the combined capacity of all other operators in India. We plan to double this in the coming months and will offer Jio coverage to 99 per cent Indians," says Ambani.

According to Ambani, Jio will be a paid service after March 31, but Jio will offer services at affordable rates. When Jio came to the market, other telecoms got affected due to which they kept on introducing vzarious plans and now Jio will match each and every plan that other operators are offering or will offer at the same rate but with 20 per cent more data.

Here are the details:

1- Rs 99 per year will get the Jio Prime membership. This is only available to existing Jio users. Also users who join Jio network will be eligible for the Prime membership.

2- Once you are a Jio Prime member, you will be able to pay Rs 303 per month and get the same free Jio services that you get now. This means unlimited data (subjected to 1GB FUP limit per day) you will get for a price of Rs 303 per month for 12 months. Looks like a quite neat deal if you like Jio network.

3- The voice calls will continue to be free.
