JNU students' union president Kanhaiya Kumar to be produced in court today

New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar, who was arrested on sedition charges, will be produced before a Delhi court today.

Kumar will be produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate at the Patiala House Court complex.

The JNUSU was arrested on Friday for allegedly raising anti-India slogans at an event at the JNU campus to commemorate the death anniversary of parliamentary attack convict Afzal Guru.

He was sent for a three-day custody after the Delhi Police informed the court that they wanted to probe his alleged links with the “terrorists groups”.
