New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Oct 23: Just before her father was to get an emotional adieu before his final journey after his cremation, the little bundle of joy unfolded in Lance Naik Ranjeet Kumar's house. His daughter was born just hours before he was cremated. This is called fate; the father who was longing to see his daughter could see her from up above the sky, not with his mortal eyes.Lance Naik Ranjeet Kumar, who along with two other colleagues were martyred by Pakistan army near the Line of Control (LoC) in Khour on Sunday, was cremated with full state honour at his native village Suligam, in district Ramban.Lance Naik Ranjeet Singh was expected to come home as his wife was due to give birth to their first child in just a couple of months. But all joy of the child's birth was shattered by the father's death. ranjeet Singh was very excited about his first child and was planning to be with his wife. He indeed was with her but with his lifeless body.At the wreath-laying ceremony in Chanderkot on Monday, the General Officer Commanding of the Delta Force, senior police and civil administration officers paid tribute to Lance Naik Ranjeet Singh.When Ranjeet Kumar's wife was in labour pain and was giving birth to their daughter in a district hospital, his lifeless body was lying in their home, waiting for the final journey.
