Kejriwal, other AAP leaders get bail in Jaitley defamation case

New Delhi (Prabhakar Mishra for News24): In a relief to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders, who were accused of harming Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's reputation, were granted bail by a local court on Thursday.

Asking Kejriwal and other AAP leaders to furnish a personal bond of Rs 20,000 and a surety of like amount each, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sumit Dass granted bail to Kejriwal and other AAP leaders including Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh Gupta, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpayee.

Meanwhile, Jaitley, who filed the complaint against Kejriwal and others, was present in the court.

Earlier, the AAP leaders had alleged corruption in the DDCA, which Jaitley headed for 13 years until 2013.
