Kejriwal promises loan waiver, free electricity in AAP’s manifesto for Punjab farmers

Moga (Punjab): The Delhi Chief Minister on Sunday released a 31-point  manifesto for Punjab farmers. The highlight of the manifesto is the promise of loan waiver for poor farmers and farm labourers will be waived off, along with loans  taken by SCs and backward classes .  Kejriwal said, “If the condition of farmers does not improve, they will again be ruined by debt.”


Other Highlights:
-         interest of all other farmers will be waived.
-         no farmer who has taken loan will lose his land as part of  loan recovery
-        free electricity for 12 hours
-        under no circumstance  interest will exceed principal
-        compensation for families of farmers who committed suicide in last 10 years

In case of a calamity, Kejriwal said :
-  compensation at the rate of  Rs 20,000/hectare
- produce will be bought within 24 of reaching mandi, payment in 72 hour
-  old age pension will be increased from 500 to Rs 2000
-  5-lakh medical insurance for farmers, farm  labourers
- Rs 51,000 on  daughter’s wedding

 Kejriwal said, “If the condition of farmers does not improve, they will again be ruined by debt.”
