Lalu Prasad Yadav, wife, son summoned as accused in IRCTC case

New Delhi, July 30, News24 Bureau: One more trouble has been added to the long list of troubles for the RJD chief Lalu Yadav and his family members.  A Delhi court has summoned the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and son and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and others as accused in the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation scam. They have been directed by Special Judge Arvind Kumar to appear before the court on August 31 in a case related to alleged irregularities in granting operational contract of two IRCTC hotels to a private firm.The CBI had said that there were enough evidence against the accused in a charge sheet in the case filed on April 16. Besides Lalu Yadav and his family members, former union minister, who was once very close to the RJD supremo, Prem Chand Gupta and his wife Sarla Gupta have been also summoned. B K Agarwal, then managing director of IRCTC, and then IRCTC director Rakesh Saxena were also named in the charge sheet.The other big names in the charge sheet include then group general managers of IRCTC V K Asthana and R K Goyal, Vijay Kochhar, Vinay Kochhar, both directors of Sujata Hotels and owners of Chanakya Hotel.WIth Agencies
