New Delhi, Feb 26: Xiaomi has an end to all the rumours and speculations relation to Mi MIX 2s after announcing the launch date of the smartphone. Mi MIX 2S will be announced at a launch event that will be held on March 27 in China.
The latest AnTuTu score of 273,741 also hints that Snapdragon 845 might power the Mi Mix 2S which will make it the world's first phone to feature the flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC.
Qualcomm and Xiaomi announced their partnership on the Snapdragon 845 in December, but companies didn't reveal any particular model that will feature the latest SoC, but Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun then suggested the latest processor could power the upcoming Mi 7. However, recent rumours suggested that the company could bring the Mi MIX 2S instead of the Mi 7, which hints that Mi MIX 2S would be the first to come with the latest Snapdragon processor.
The firmware files also report that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is codenamed "polaris", and will run Android 8.0 Oreo. Apart from this, firmware files suggest that the smartphone will come with an FHD+ display that will have 18:9 aspect ratio and will be backed by a 3400mAh battery.
Some leaked render posted on the Chinese site Weibo even hinted that the smartphone can have 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS onboard storage, a dual rear camera setup with two 12MP sensors, and global 4G LTE bands.
