At about 8:30 PM, intelligence agencies had intercepted calls between the terrorists and their Pakistan-based handlers. The intercept indicated that there were more than 10 terrorists in Baramulla. The Pakistani handlers were telling them to attack 4 places in Baramulla simultaneously in 4 groups. The intercept was shared with the Army and BSF.
