Pune: Terrorists are planning an attack in Pune using an old car for blasts, according to the intelligence agencies. Following the inputs, intelligence agencies have alerted the Pune police, which has swung into action. After issuing an alert, local police is now gathering details of car buyers from the agents dealing in sales of new and used cars. House owners have been asked to submit details of the tenants to the nearest police station.

Police are also seeking details from hotels, Gurudwaras, temples, mosques and dharamshalas about the people who are staying there. The intelligence input says that attack may happen between September 12 and November 10 this year. The possible date of attack has raised an alarm bell because the period coincides with the festival season.
