NIA inspector investigating Pathankot attack shot dead in UP

New Delhi: A National Investigation Agency inspector was shot dead while returning from a wedding in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district, sources said on Sunday. NIA officer Inspector Mohammad Tanzil and his wife were shot at by unidentified assailants on motorbikes who followed the couple near Sahaspur town on Saturday night. His wife was critically also injured and was rushed to Cosmos Hospital in Moradabad. 

Meanwhile, NIA and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) teams have reached Moradabad for investigation.

“No, he had no enmity against anyone, he was a friendly cheerful person,” Raghib Ahmed, brother of slain NIA officer said.
