Nokia 8.1 to be launched on November 28, know price, specifications and best features

New Delhi, Nov 15, Pancham Saude: Nokia 8.1 which is said to be a global variant of Nokia X7 has not been unveiled anywhere in the world but a new report suggests that it will be launched in India on November 28. The report also reveals that the price of the Nokia 8.1 (Nokia X7) is set at Rs 23,999.

With this price, it will take on the smartphones like Xiaomi Poco F1 which costs ₹ 20,999 and Honor Play which costs ₹ 19,999 in the under 25,000 price segment. Like other Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 8.1 will run a stock version of Android as a part of the Android One programme.

HMD Global is yet to send out media invites for the launch later this month, a report from 91Mobiles claim that the Nokia 8.1 is coming soon to the Indian market. The Nokia X7 that was launched in China last month with mid-range specifications and a design similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus costs ₹ 15,999 and Nokia 5.1 Plus.

Nokia 8.1 price in India

The Nokia 8.1 with 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant price in India will be set at Rs. 23,999. The Nokia X7 with 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model that was launched in China was price tagged at CNY 1,699  which is roughly Rs. 17,700. While the model with 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant was priced tagged at CNY 1,999  which approximately Rs. 20,900, the model with 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage was price tagged at CNY 2,499 which is about Rs. 26,100.

The smartphone will come in four colour variants, Dark Blue, Magic Night Silver, Night Black, and Night Red.

Nokia 8.1 specifications (expected)

The smartphone will feature a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 and 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, coupled with 4GB/ 6GB and 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage, however, it is expandable up to 400GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia 8.1 will sport a dual camera setup at rear with 12MP and 13MP cameras. While on the front, the smartphone will bear a 20MP selfie camera for better selfies.

 The Nokia 8.1 may run a stock version of Android Pie out-of-the-box and will be backed by a a 3,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
