New Delhi: Travelling by train is going to be a delectable experience now, as Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is entering into a partnership with leading tea-café chain Chaayos, providing passengers over 25 varieties of tea, which can be further customized in over 12,000 ways.
The partnership with Chaayos will ensure that the passengers get their favourite cup of steaming hot tea and snacks getting delivered to their train seats.
The range varies from ‘adrak-tulsi chai’ to ‘aam papad chai’ and ‘hari mirch chai’.
The service will initially be available for all trains at New Delhi Railway Station and will soon be extended to other stations across Delhi and Mumbai.
The passengers will however have to order their tea two hours ahead of train’s arrival time, which can be made on www.ecatering.irctc.co.in or calling a toll-free number (1800-1034-139).
IRCTC has also launched a mobile app through which the orders can be placed.
