Obama express condolence on Bush's demise: Nation lost a patriot and humble servant

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Dec 1: "America has lost a patriot, humble servant,"  former US President Barack Obama said on George HW Bush's demise. Obama paid tribute to George HW Bush and said that the nation had lost a patriot and humble servant.Writing on Twitter, Obama said, "While our hearts are heavy today, they are also filled with gratitude. Our thoughts are with the entire Bush family tonight and all who were inspired by George and Barbara's example."

George H W Bush died on Saturday at the age of 94. He was the 41st US president and also father of the 43rd US president, George W Bush.

George Herbert Walker Bush has died at age 94, according to the family's spokesperson.

The former president was hospitalised at Houston Methodist Hospital due to an infection that spread to his blood, his office said in a statement.His hospitalisation came just one day after he laid his wife of 73 years, former First Lady Barbara Bush, to rest.Bush, who served as 41st president of the US president from 1989 to 1993, has a form of Parkinson's disease and used a motorised scooter or a wheelchair for mobility.
