New Delhi: Upon firm warning from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the app-based radio taxis Uber and Ola on Monday suspended the surging fare with immediate effect.
“Given threat to livelihood of our partners, at expense of reliability, we’re temporarily suspending surge with immediate effect,” Uber Delhi tweeted. “We hope to work with the Delhi govt. to provide a reliable mobility option in the city, esp. at a time when the citizens need us the most.”
