Mumbai (Deepak Dubey for News24): BCCI's All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Gujarat pacer Jasprit Bumrah as a replacement for injured Mohammed Shami for the three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) to be played against Australia, starting Jan 26.
Shami has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury
Bumrah, with 14 scalps in nine matches, is the joint highest wicket taker for his state in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 competition.
Bumrah will leave for Australia on January 22 along with other T20I team members – Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, Suresh Raina and Hardik Pandya.
