'Padmaavat' day 5 collection, business getting bigger

New Delhi, Jan 31: After lots of nuisance, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus finally found a release date of January 25, 2018. Previously, the film was supposed to release on December 1, 2017.

According to reports of film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'Padmaavat' passed the Monday test with collecting Rs 15 crore. It collected Rs 19 crore on the first day i.e. Thursday and nearly doubled earning Rs 32 crore on Friday. The weekend also collected good response by earning Rs 27 crore on Saturday and Rs 31 crore on Sunday. The total collection of the film after the initially paid previews on Wednesday that brought nearly Rs 5 crore 'Padmaavat' stands tall so far at Rs 129 crore.

The states where 'Padmaavat' is having a great run are Mumbai, South India, West Bengal, while the regions of Delhi and Punjab are performing less than expected and Gujarat has also been affected by violent acts of damage and wreckage.

Padmaavat has collected a whopping amount of $ 10.59 million and an additional $ 1 million from paid preview if one considers the overseas collection.'Padmaavat' now ranks first of the highest opening charts followed by 'Dhoom 3', 'Sultan' with a collection of $9.45 million, 'Dilwale' at '$8.52 million and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'in the fifth position with a collection of $8.12 million.
