Pakistan a terror state: White House petition gains 6 lakh signatures

Washington: The online petition asking the US to declare Pakistan “a state sponsor of terrorism,” has now been signed by over 600,000 people. This petition has become one of the most-supported one. White House petition service was launched in 2011.

Those who have signed the petition  support a bill initiated by Texas Congressman Ted Poe along with Californian representative Dana Rohrabacher. The bill was introduced two weeks ago. The bill accuses Pakistan’s ISI of helping terrorist groups, including the Taliban, the Haqqani Network and Al-Qaeda. The bill also says that ISI helps terrorists in acquiring weapons.

The bill demands that the White House should designate Pakistan as a state sponsor of terrorism, explain to the Congress why it refuses to do so.
