Jammu: Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh will today review the border security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of continued ceasefire violations by Pakistan. He is likely to visit some forward posts along the LoC, sources said. This will be General Dalbir Singh's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after India carried out surgical strikes against terrorist launching pads across the LoC on Wednesday night.
"General Dalbir Singh will take stock of the prevailing situation on the borders in the state," defence sources told IANS. " He will receive a briefing at the Udhampur headquarters of the Northern Command."
"GOC-in-C of Northern Command and the three corps commanders of 14, 15 and 16 will be present during the briefing session," the sources said.
