Pakistani actor abuses Indians, thrown out of British TV show

New Delhi: Pakistan born Coronation Street actor Marc Anwar has been thrown out of the TV Show for his abusive rants against Indians on Twitter. After getting complaints of unacceptable comments from viewers, ITV sacked the Pakistani actor for "racially offensive" comments.

Anwar, on his personal twitter account, had termed Indians as “b******s” and “p***-drinking “c***s”.

"We are deeply shocked by the entirely unacceptable, racially offensive comments made on twitter by Marc Anwar," ITV said in a statement, adding,"We have talked to Marc and, as a consequence of his comments, he will not be returning to Coronation Street with immediate effect." Anwar plays the role of businessman Sharif Nazir in the show.

ITV said that pre-filmed episodes with Anwar will be aired, but his role will be minimised.
