Pakistani-orgin cricketer calls Virat 'honest, sincere'

New Delhi: A cricketer of Pakistani origin is all praise for Indian Test Capatain Virat Kohli. He is England opener Haseeb Hameed, who had to leave team’s Indian tour due to injury in finger.

Haseeb made his debut against India in the Rajkot Test and suffered a nasty injury in his finger. Despite injury he played a gutsy innings when England batted again. Kohli appreciated Haseeb’s innings as one of “great character by a 19-year old”.

Then Kohli spent a lot of time with him after the Mohali Test.

Hasseb was bowled over by Kohli’s gesture and has called him a ‘sincere’ and ‘honest’ person, while thanking Kohli for spending time with him.

“This was a great moment for me as well. A really sincere and honest guy. Grateful for his time, minutes after his side had won the game. ????????,” Haseeb tweeted. (News24Bureau)
