Mumbai: Anil Kapoor is bowled over by filmmaker Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's passion for films, and the actor-producer says he connects with people who are passionate about their work.
"He (Mehra) is a man of very few words. I admire his work...the way he makes films and his passion for films. I connect with people who are passionate about their work, and that's how we connected," Anil, who will be seen in Mehra's film "Fanney Khan",said.
Asked about the project, he said: "It has a fantastic script. It's a musical. I am really thrilled to be part of the film. It's the first time that I am playing a character whose name is Khan."
Mehra's connection with Anil goes back to the 2009 film "Delhi-6". It starred Anil's daughter Sonam Kapoor. And now, the filmmaker is set to launch the actor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor in "Mirzya".
