Pathankot terror attack: JeM chief Maulana Masood detained in Pakistan

New Delhi: In a major breakthrough, Pak officials have detained JeM chief and Pathankot attack kingpin Maulana Masood Azhar, claimed Pak media on Wednesday.

As many as 23 JeM terrorists including Masood, his brother Rauf have been detained and several JeM offices have been sealed in Pakistan in connection with the attack that left all six terrorists and seven Indian soldiers dead in Pathankot on January 2. .

"Several individuals belonging to JeM have been apprehended. The offices of the organisation are also being traced and sealed. Further investigations are underway," said an official statement from the neighbouring country.

The statement further added, "Based on the initial investigations in Pakistan, and the information provided, several individuals belonging to JeM have been apprehended. The offices of the organisation are also being traced and sealed."
