Pathankot attack: Pak JIT questions Salwinder Singh

New Delhi: The Pakistan Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Thursday questioned suspended Gurdaspur SP Salwinder Singh an a dozen other witnesses at the NIA headquarters in New Delhi regarding the Pathankot terror attack.

According to media reports, Singh, his cook Mandan Gopal, jeweller friend Rajesh Verma and other witnesses reached the National Investigation Agency (NIA) office where the Joint Investigation Team from Pakistan questioned them in the presence of NIA officials.

Singh has claimed that he, Verma and Gopal were abducted by four or five heavily armed terrorists near Punjab's Kolia village on January 2.

The terrorists later attacked the Pathankot Indian Air Force base in which seven security personnel and the Pakistani terrorists were killed.

The Pak probe team arrived in India on March 28 to investigate the attack on Pathankot airbase. The JIT held meeting with NIA officials on Monday.

According to reports, NIA officials gave a 90-minute presentation to Pak JIT about the probe conducted so far and the evidences gathered.

The following day, JIT visited the Pathankot airbase amid high security. 

The Pak JIT comprising of Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) AIG Rai Tahir, Intelligence Bureau Lahore Deputy Director General Azim Arshad, Lt. Col Tanvir Ahmed of the ISI, Lt, Col Irfan Mirza of MI and Gujranwala CTD Investigating Officer Shahid Tanveer is investigating the attack in India.
