New Delhi: After a series of tweets by Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today, criticising Air India for having missed a flight to Hyderabad, he received an apologetic tweet stating that the delay in flight was caused because the pilot was stuck in a traffic jam.
"We deeply regret the inconvenience caused due to the flight delay. The pilot was stuck in traffic jam," replied Air India to the minister’s tweet, adding that it has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Mr Naidu claimed that he was at the airport at 12.30 pm to catch the flight set to depart at 1.15 pm, only to be told it had been delayed because the pilot had not yet come.
After having waited for half an hour, the minister returned home, and by the time he came back to the airport, the flight had departed.
