New Delhi, August 20: Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco is all set to launch its first smartphone Poco F1 in India. The handset will be unveiled on August 22 at an event in New Delhi. Poco India took it to Twitter on Monday to reveal the launch details without revealing key specifications or price of the device.
However, an unboxing video of the Poco F1 surfaced last week on YouTube that highlighted its display notch and dual rear camera setup. Going by the video, the smartphone can be expected in 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage options. While the Poco F1 price for the 64GB storage variant that is expected to debut in Eastern Europe is price tagged at EUR 420 which is roughly Rs. 33,300 while its 128GB variant could cost EUR 460 which roughly calculates to Rs. 36,400. If Indian prices are concerned that will be only revealed at the time of formal launch later this month.
The Poco F1 will be launched on August 22 by Xiaomi's Lead Product Manager Jai Mani at an event in New Delhi.
While the company hasn't revealed the specifications but an initial listing on a Belarusian online store suggests that the device will feature an 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The Poco F1 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC along with a liquid cooling system.
For photography, the device may have a combination of a 12 MP primary sensor and a 5 MP secondary sensor
The device is codenamed Beryllium and said to run on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI on top and will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
