Rajnish Kumar replaces Arundhati Bhattacharya as new SBI chief

New Delhi: The government on Wednesday replaced Arundhati Bhattacharya with Rajnish Kumar as the new chairman of SBI.Rajnish has been appointed for a period of three years from October 7.

 Kumar, who joined SBI as a probationary officer in 1980 is currently one of the four managing directors of the bank. Before becoming MD he has worked in various departments, worked with national banking group, in 2015, Kumar was headed the merchant banking arm of SBI, SBI Capital Markets, as managing director and CEO and currently heads the retail business at SBI.
