New Delhi, May 16: Centre asks security forces not to launch operations in J&K during the month of Ramzan. Security forces to reserve the right to retaliate if attacked or if essential to protect the lives of innocent people:, said the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Will the terrorists misuse the breather. On earlier occasions too it has been seen that the goodwill gesture has been misused. But this is a conditional ceasefire. The right to retaliate has been kept reserved.
But there will be no operations in the month of Ramzan.
It needs to be mentioned that the terrorists had attacked the Amarnath yatris.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has informed Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of the central government's decision.
"It is important to isolate the forces that bring a bad name to Islam by resorting to mindless violence and terror," the spokesperson said. The government expects everyone to cooperate in this initiative and help the Muslim brothers and sisters to observe Ramzan peacefully and without any difficulties, the spokesperson said.
