New Delhi, May 7: Xiaomi has launched 3 smartphones within a short period of one month and if reports to be believed then one more budget smartphone is heading India and has been already spotted. The rumoured smartphone is said to be Redmi S2 and was spotted earlier this week on China's 3C (Compulsory Certification of China) certification website. The specifications are not yet revealed but one thing that was confirmed that launch date is nearing in China. And now latest report suggest that this smartphone will be launched on May 10. This will be yet another budget smartphone by the Chinese smartphone maker in a very short period. Apart from this, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 was also reportedly been spotted in the wild with a possible Snapdragon 660 SoC.
The Redmi S2 was also TENAA listing earlier, which reveals that it could feature a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Redmi S2 could be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC while we can expect variants with 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB of RAM, 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB inbuilt storage, and an Adreno 506 GPU
For photography, Redmi S2 is reported to sport a dual camera setup at back panel with 12MP+5MP cameras with LED flash while 16MP selfie camera on the front. The smartphone will be backed by a 3080 mAh battery and will run on MIUI on top of Android 8.1.0 Oreo.
