Royal Enfield Continental GT now in Green colour, replaces the old Yellow

Continental GT has always been a special bike in the automotive world

The Royal Enfield Continental GT will now be available in a new GT Green body shade, whereas the Yellow colour won’t be on offer now. The colours now on offer on the Continental GT are – GT Red, GT Black and GT Green.

Royal Enfield had launched the Continental GT back in November 2013 an it’s priced at INR 1.92 lakh (ex-Showroom, Mumbai). Powering the bike is the 535 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled unit, paired to a 5-speed gearbox that churns out 29.1 bhp at 5,100 rpm with 44 Nms of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The cafe racer rides on a telescopic suspension up front and Paioli twin gas charged shock absorbers at the rear. The 300 mm Brembo floating disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear provide adequate bite and Pirelli Sport Demon tyres keep it well plated on the tarmac.

Royal Enfield plans to launch a new product each year from now on, with the much discussed tourer “Himalayan” nearing its launch. The current line of RE’s fleet include the Continental GT, the Thunderbird 350 and 500, the Classic series of 350 and 500, the Bullet 350 and 500 and the Bullet Electra.
