Pancham Saude, New Delhi: IIT students have always made news for getting hired by Google in record breaking salary packages, but this time it's all different story, where the search giant Google has hired a 16-year-old student from Chandigarh at a whopping salary package of Rs 1.44 crore. According to the media reports 16-year-old named Harshit Sharma, will be joining Google's graphic designing team later this month in the US.
Harshit, who is studying at Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 33, in Chandigarh, will be trained for a year by the company and during this training, he will be getting a stipend of Rs 4 lakh per month, post training Harshit will get a monthly salary of Rs 12 lakh.
In an interview, Harshit explained that he kept searching for jobs online, and applied for this job in May, was interviewed online. He further adds that he had been interested in graphic designing for the past 10 years and he was selected on the basis of the posters he designed earlier. And this is not the first time he has been rewarded for his work but in the past, he had also earned Rs 40,000-50,000, making Bollywood and Hollywood posters at school time
Harshit, who hails from a small village called Mathana in Kurukshetra, Haryana, studied information technology in his Class 11th. Earlier he had been also rewarded Rs 7,000 under the Prime Minister's Digital India scheme. Harshit's parents are school teachers.
