Salman Khan turns producer with a new Television show


New Delhi, March 1: Salman Khan popularly known as Bhaijaan of Bollywood has always made it to headlines. The buzz from last year about him producing a TV show on the wrestler 'The Great Gama' seems to have some light. It is unusual to see the superhero of the Bollywood screen doing a fictional TV show. 

Salman will be bringing light to the life of the greatest wrestler, Ghulam Mohammed Baksh who was popularly referred as The Great Gama Pahlawan. This first Fictional show production by Salman Khan will have his brother Sohail in the lead role. The show is supposed to air in the next few months.

Mohammad Nazeem who was in the lead role in a Hindi daily soap ‘Saath Nibhana Sathiya’ will be a part of the show and play the role of Gama’s brother as Imam Baksh.

The team shot a pilot in Patiala last year and the channel star plus loved it. The team is finalizing the actors and working on the logistics of the show. The shoot will be held in parts of Punjab and at some stadiums in London.

The actual story of the wrestler Gama: He was a son in a Kashmiri family of a wrestler, born in a village in Punjab. When he was 10 Gama entered a Strongman competition at Jodhpur where he got recognition. Gama was among the 15 out of 400 wrestlers who attended the competition and was given the position of a winner as he was the youngest of all. Gama went to the United Kingdom in April 1910 which was a European wrestling competition and was declared as the winner. He is one of those wrestlers from India who in 50 years of his career stands undefeated.

It is a show which is definitely to look forward to as it would be a production of Salman Khan. Also, other than this Salman Khan is coming back with the third season of 10 ka Dum, He is producing another show based on the lives of Mumbai Police Force. In Bollywood, Salman is coming up with Race 3 and Bharat.
