New Delhi, September 8: Samsung Galaxy S10 will be the flagship smartphone to mark the tenth anniversary of the South Korean company. The smartphone is expected to be launched in the first half of 2019. Considering the big occasion fans can expect something unique for them. Some reports have been surfaced that the upcoming Galaxy S10 will include support for 5G connectivity. The release date as per the reports leaked is close to March 5th, 2019, this is when most of the telecom operators will start commercialising 5G operations.
The report also claims that Samsung could release the Galaxy S10 after the official launch and the production of this 5G-capable variant could be as low as 2 million units per year.
The report further reveals that we could get another model that will be codenamed as Beyond 2, Earlier to this Beyond 0 was the cheapest model and Beyond 1 is codename for Galaxy S9 successor. The Galaxy S10+ could be the most expensive smartphone due to the initial cost of installing 5G technology.
If 5G technology is concerned, Galaxy S10 will not be the first Samsung smartphone with 5G support. According to Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh there will be another phone that will be launched by the company before the Galaxy S10 with 5G support. This could be the foldable smartphone that has been in the rumours in recent times.
If rumours are concerned, the Galaxy S10 is reported to come in three variants - two with in-display fingerprint sensors and a cheaper one with a basic fingerprint sensor. One of these variants can be expected with a triple camera set up at the back.
