See Pic: Abu Salmen wanted to marry this woman but court refused parole

New Delhi, August 7, News24 Bureau: It seems that gangster Abu Salem cannot get married anytime soon now. The reason is that the Bombay high court has rejected 1993 Mumbai bombings convict Abu Salem's plea seeking parole of 45 days to get married, ANI reported.

Abu Salem had approached the Bombay high court seeking a parole for 45 days to marry Mumbra resident Kausar Bahar.
Reports suggest that Salem had already married this girl in train when he was travelling from Mumbai to Lucknow to appear in courts. Mid Day had even published exclusive pictures of the couple. The relatives of Salem were present when the two were getting married. This was the same woman who had claimed to have married Salem during a train journey to Uttar Pradesh in 2014.

Salem, who is lodged in Taloja jail, challenged in court the orders rejecting his parole plea.

According to the police, Salem, who is in his 50s, was to tie the knot, reportedly for the third time, with Kausar.

In 2015, the Mumbra woman had submitted an application in the special TADA court, which was hearing the blasts case, stating she wanted to marry Salem and he, too, had agreed to tie the knot with her, the official said.

Gangster Abu Salem originally hails from Azangarh district of Uttar Pradesh and was extradited from Portugal in 2005.
