Srinagar: 3 cops killed in twin terror attacks in 2 hours

Srinagar: In the very heart of the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, two attacks were carried out by the terrorists on Monday, killing three policemen in a span of two hours.

 

At around 10:45 am, militants attacked a police station in Zadibal area of Srinagar, killing two cops on duty.

 

They fired at the police officers , identified as assistant sub-inspector Ghulam Mohammad and head constable Nazir Ahmad, at close range who succumbed on the spot, a police official said.

 

About two hours later, another terror attack was carried out by terrorists, who attacked a CRPF post in Tankipora, Srinagar.

 

The militants shot down constable Mohammad Sadiq, posted as a personal security guard at Tengpora on Parimpora-Hyderpora Bypass road.

 

Before fleeing from the spot, the militants snatched the service rifle from the injured cop.
