New Delhi: A Pakistani girl may have achieved the impossible. Amidst the worsening relations between the Centre and AAP's Kejriwal government, a Pakistan girl has managed a thanks for Delhi Dy CM Manish Sisodia from External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
A 16-year old girl from Pakistan, Madhu, has been in India for the last two years was not getting admission in a school. The girl had lost her birth certificate and school leaving certificate, and thus was being denied admission. The girl had met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Sushma Swaraj earlier seeking help.
The Delhi Dy CM got the rules relaxed for Madhu on humanitarian grounds. Sisodia wrote to the director of education saying, "She wants to study and on humanitarian grounds, it is my considered opinion that we need to walk extra mile to accommodate her desire to pursue study in our school."
Madhu got admission, Siodia a thanks from Sushma. Sushma while saying thanks to Sisodia, tweeted copy of Sisiodia's letter to the education department.
Reportedly, Madhu had fled Pakistan with family to escape religious prosecution.
