New Delhi, Jan 11: Sachin Tendulkar's son 18-yr-old Arjun Tendulkar has again made headlines with his superb performances in the Spirit of Cricket Global Challenge, a competition organised by the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Playing for Cricketer's Club of India in a T20 match at the revered Bradman Oval, Arjun blasted Hong Kong Cricket Club bowlers for his quickfire 48 runs off 27 deliveries as an opener and picked four wickets in four overs in his bowling. After the match, Arjun speaking to media said- "I'm just so privileged to play on the ground named after the Bradman, it's unbelievable,".
This is not the first time that Arjun has drawn attention with his performances. Apart from his impressive performance in domestic cricket, he made headlines in July last year, when he struck England batsman Jonny Bairstow with a well-directed yorker during a net session. After copping the blow, Bairstow was sent for medical attention.
The six-footer Arjun sees Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc and England all-rounder Ben Stokes as his role models.
