Tension peaks at border: Frustrated Pak Army is moving 1.5 lakh troops to LoC

New Delhi:  Shaken by  the Indian surgical strikes  across LoC in PoK ,  Pakistan Army  is  strengthening its  presence  along the LoC.  In a change of strategy, Pakistan is withdrawing soldiers from the Afghanistan border to increase deployment along the Indian border.

After the National Security Committee onTuesday, Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif decided to increase military presence on the Eastern front.  As part of the strategy Pakistan Army has decided  to recall 1.5 lakh soldiers from the Western front (Afghanistan border), who had been fighting Taliban. These soldiers will now be deployed on the Eastern front (Indian border).
Pakistan Army has already moved 5 battalions to the LoC. Pakistan Air Force and Navy are already on alert. Pak Air Force is practising F-16 landings on roads. Currently Pak Army and Air Force are conducting joint exercise along the international border near Rajasthan.
India is not taking chances. Army and Air Force are in a high state of operational preparedness along the 2300 kilometre border with Pakistan.  Troops and ammunition supplies have been moved to the forward posts.
Meanwhile, on Thursday Home Minister Rajnath Singh will review the security in border states at a meeting in  Jaisalmer. Chief Ministers of the boder states have been invited for the meeting.
