New Delhi: A day after the Republic Day celebration, the country witnessed three back-to-back bomb threats. Goa-bound aircraft, which was scheduled to leave at 5:30 in the evening, was halted at the last moment after the airport authorities received a terror alert.
The Bengaluru International Airport Authorities (BIAL) reacted swiftly to an anonymous message which claimed that a bomb had been planted in the aircraft. All passengers, along with the crew members were soon evacuated, after the plane was grounded.
Earlier today, two flights, one each of Air India and Jet Airways, were grounded just before their departure for Kathmandu from Delhi, following a bomb scare. They were scheduled to take off for the Nepalese capital at 1.15 pm and 1.25 pm, respectively.
According to the latest update, fresh threat calls have been made against the departure of AI 215 Delhi-Kathmandu aircraft. This has further delayed the flight, and only after the security clearances, will the passengers finally reach their destination.
