The company began as a barbecue restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald. 2. KFC: Kentucky Fried Chicken is the world's second largest fast food chain with 18,875 outlets in 118 countries. KFC was found by US man Colonel Harland David Sanders. During early days Sanders did numerous of jobs such as steam engine stoker,insurance salesman and filling station operator until he realized the potential of growing food chains. Subway: Subway is known for its submarine sandwiches across the world. Subway, with 44,607 restaurants in 111 countries stands third position on Forbes' list of 'top 10 global fast food chains'.
