To be successful in Bollywood, you need to be talented yet you need to constantly re-invent yourself so that you can ensure longevity and success. These stars set great examples of us mere mortals as to never cease in life, to constantly swim up with the tides and be sharp and focused in your endeavours. We can learn a-lot from them because of their drive, zest and that they were also normal and mere mortals someday.  

Here are five business entrepreneurs that we can learn alot from in Bollywood and make us proud: 

Shah Rukh Khan: Besides a two-decade long career in Bollywood, with back to back famous movies, Khan has established himself as a super reliable and bankable actor.  Khan is co-chairman of the motion picture production company Red Chillies Entertainment and its subsidiaries. His production company produces films and its VFX division offers VFX and animation services to other production houses and filmmakers. Besides owning Red Chillies Entertainment and its bouquet of subsidiaries, SRK is also the co-owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders. Khan acquired ownership for the franchise in 2008 in coherence with Juhi Chawla, that has been her costar in many successful films like ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’ (1992) and ‘Darr’ (1993), and her husband Jay Mehta for 90 Canadian dollars.  The team gained immense popularity due to its association with celebrity owners, but it couldn't do much on the field in the initial years. However, they have improved dirastically over the time and the team won IPL champions for the first time in 2012. KKR is one of the richest and solid teams in the IPL, with a brand value of several million. Shah Rukh Khan is an award show host and television presenter. He endorses a number of brands from where he makes a hell lot of money.

Secondly, Shilpa Shetty. The style icon of 90s turned sharp entrepreneur, Shilpa Shetty might have signed off from films, but she still is one of the most popular public figures in India. The gorgeous actress that began her career in movies with the suspense thriller ‘Baazigar’ (1993) opposite none other than Shah Rukh Khan, has done a number of successful films in her career including ‘Dhadkan’ (2000), ‘Garv’ (2004) and ‘Apne’ (2007). However, true fame happened to her when she appeared on Bigg Boss London and she broke into the international scene by successfully winning the controversial reality show ‘Celebrity Big Brother 5’. Her unexpected win made media see her in a new light. In February 2009, Shilpa Shetty began dating businessman Raj Kundra, with whom she owned the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team Rajasthan Royals. They got married on 22nd November 2009 and have a son born in 2012. Most of her ventures are financed by her husband.  She also laid the foundation of her own film production company and produced a film titled ‘Dishkiyaoon’ (2014), which unfortunately did not work at the box office. There's no turning back for her. 


Thirdly, Suniel Shetty, earlier having spelt his name as Suneel Shetty, is an action star. Majority of films he has done in his movie career, like ‘Dilwale’ (1994), ‘Mohra’ (1994) and ‘Border’ (1997), belong to the action genre. He was one of the most sought after actors in the 90s. Besides being an action star, Suniel Shetty is also a film producer and entrepreneur. We all know that the well-built actor has been a fitness freak since the very beginning of his career in movies. And he also understands that how seriously the youth today takes fitness. So, in a very smart and well calculating move, Suniel first ventured into the business of fitness and opened many gyms across India. Franchises of his gyms can be spotted in many parts of the country. Suniel Shetty also owns a film production house called Popcorn Entertainment, which has produced a string of films like ‘Khel’ (2003), ‘Rakht’ (2004), ‘Bhagam Bhag’ (2006), ‘Mission Istanbul’ (2008) and ‘EMI’ (2008). If you thought that the list of his endeavors ends just there, then think again. Sunil is also the owner of Mischief, a series of boutiques spread across the entire length and breadth of the country. It isn't just that, the actor also runs a several restaurants specializing in Udupi cuisine in the city. He has even ventured into designing and development of luxury real estate projects (with his wife Manna) through his company S2 Reality. Suniel is a television host also. So he's quite successful too. 




Fourthly, Shehzaadi of Bollywood, she was born to a superstar and is today married to a superstar too. Wife of Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna haven't been as lucky in Bollywood as her famous parents, but shes gone onto being successful in various endeavors. Mrs. Kumar runs a candle business with her mother Dimple Kapadia and makes a lot of money. For your kind information, this isn't a small candle business. Their candle company doesn't just operate in Indian markets only, but their candles are exported in many other countries also. She then ventured into designing homes with her state-of-the-art store ‘The White Window’. Within a very short span of time, her business ventures flourished leaps and bounds and boasts a formidable client list. However, her most hilarious and entertaining "job" is of a columnist. Her columns appear in reputed newspapers like DNA and  The Times of India. She is an author also. She chronicles her life, her kids, her "man", basically her knack of turning the ordinary into extraordinarily funny stuff is what her columns are all about. Her debut novel ‘Mrs Funnybones’ came out in August 2015 sold more than 1 Lacs copies across the world, making Twinkle India’s highest-selling female writer of 2015. Twinkle wrote her second book titled ‘The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad’ which debuted at No 2 on Amazon. Twinkle Khanna is also a film producer and has produced almost six films under Grazing Goat Pictures. She has recently set up her own production house. ‘Padman’ starring her husband Akshay Kumar, will be her first film as an independent film producer.



Lastly, the multitalented actor named Ajay Devgan.  Widely popular as one of the most popular Bollywood actors, Ajay is a hit machine. From that hunk-of-a-chunk bike stunt in his intro movie to the versatile actor he's become, that can go to any length to deliver perfection. He just looks serious, however, he's mastered all genres. He can do comedy, he can do action, he can do drama also. He can romance you like Prince Charming (from Cinderella) and he can talk sense into you in a politically-driven movie. Besides, a successful movie star, he has wisely invested a certain percent of his money in a number of ventures.  Ajay also owns a production house called Ajay Devgn Films. Established in the year of 2000, its first movie was ‘Raju Chacha’ (2000) featuring Mr. Devgn and his wife Kajol. The film didn't do well and then ‘U Me Aur Hum’ happened in 2008. Ajay didn't only co-produce and direct the film, he also acted in it with Kajol. Ajay also owns a VFX subsidiary to his production house.
