Top three reasons for having a bloated tummy!

Whether it’s a bout of holiday tummy, heartburn after a heavy meal, or just occasionally feeling bloated, digestive trouble is one of the top five health concers of today! About 70-75 people are prone belly woes and it can be a big deterrent towards your daily routine.

By knowing the cause of it, you can get the appropriate remedy for it. Thus, here are three causes of your bloated bellies:

1. Hormonal fluctuations: This happens to women, mostly, during three stages of their lives. When they are premenstrual, in early stages of pregnancy or after delvering kids. During pregnancy, after childbirth and just before your period, levels of the hormone progesterone are raised. This can slow down gut motility or movement, which means food passes more slowly through the body, leading to bloating and possibly constipation.

2. Coeliac disease: You often feel fatigued; you’ve lost weight for no apparent reason; you have regular abdominal pain. It is an adverse reaction to gluten, which is found in wheat, barley and rye and all foods containing them – everything from pasta and bread to pies and some gravies and sauces.

3. Flatulence: We all experience flatulence from time to time – it’s perfectly normal to do so up to 15 times daily – and sometimes you may not even realize that you are doing it.
