NEW DELHI: National Film Award winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar released the trailer of his much-awaited political film, 'Indu Sarkar' on Friday afternoon. The film features Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Supriya Vinod, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Anupam Kher.
The trailer starts with an announcement - "Ab is desh me Gandhi ke mayne badal chuke hain" and goes on with an emergency that baffles the entire nation. The film revolves around the story when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency across India for 21 months from 1975 to 1977.
Actor Kirti Kulhari , who was last seen in the film, 'Pink' is playing the role of a revolutionary poet in the emergency era. Neil Nitin Mukesh looks perfect in the role of Sanjay Gandhi. The storyline of the film is very interesting and revealing clear references to the Gandhi Family.
Interestingly, for the first time music composers, Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri have come together to create the music for the film.
'Indu Sarkar' will release on 28 July 2017.
