Meaning, he isn't good looking, he isnt very tall, he is dusky and he doesn't have any star parents to back him up! What he is, is hardworking, adaptable, affable and amiable! Whether he plays the brat of a Romeo in Dil Dhadakne Do to a vigorous emperor in Bajirao Mastani to the boy next door in Band Baaja Baarat, or the conman in Lootera, versitality has become the key to his success. Nowadays, he's got two more big projects in his kitty, which will surely get him more acclaim:

* Padmavati: A period film, based on the life of Rani Padmini, a Rajput queen, essayed by Deepika Padukone. Its directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. According to a report in Filmfare, Bhansali won't only showcase Alauddin Khilji's (Ranveer's) fascination and attraction towards Rani Padmavati (played by Deepika) but also towards his general, Malik Kafur. Ranveer seems to have completely immersed himself into the Padmavati Zone with a unique look and also consulting a psychiatrist to understand a man's lust for both the genders! That is Dedication, people!

* Biopic on Kapil Dev: Ranveer Singh has been roped in to play the character of former Indian cricketer in a Kabir Khan in his directorial feature.
