Under pressure from BJP top men Barala's son agrees to join probe

New Delhi: Initially there was no response from the Haryana BJP chief' Subhash Barala's son Vikas Barala,23 and his friend Ashish Kumar, 27 on the summons. The stalkers rather ignored the summons but after enough counseling by the BJP senior leaders, they agreed to co-operate in the investigation.

The police had asked them to respond by Wednesday 11 AM. In a shocking revelation it has been learnt from the sources that Vikas had tols the police that they chased the car to see that the person driving the sedan was a man or a woman.

There are many loopholes in the medical report of Haryana BJP's chief's son Subhash Barala's son Vikas Barala,23 and his friend Ashish Kumar, 27.

The Blood and urine test, which is very crucial in such cases, was not conducted. There has been a big Big botch up by the Chandigarh police and the intentions behind skipping these tests are clear.

Till the time the Chandigarh police was not aware that the accused was Barala's son, they took immediate action and promptly registered a case, but once they came to know about him, they started acting under pressure and watering down the case. The sole intention is to make the case weak in the court of law. Not just that, the police has slapped weak sections. The Chandigarh Police dropped serious criminal charges of harassment, attempt to kidnap and outrage the modesty of a woman without any judicial proceedings and due criminal investigation. All these and the medical reports are raising serious questions.

Varnika Kundu 29, daughter of an IAS officer was stalked by the state BJP chief's son and his friend.  The victim has alleged that the accused followed her in their car for over five km, banged her car's window pane, threatened her, rather such a serious thing should invite attempt to murder charge also, he told reporters here after submitting the memorandum.

Notably, father of victim, a senior IAS officer, belongs to Kundu clan. A Khap is a community representing a clan or a group of related clans. They are found mostly among Jat people of Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh.

Subhash Barala's son Vikas Barala (23) and Ashish Kumar (27) were arrested on Saturday for allegedly stalking this 29- year-old woman here. However, both were released later on bail as they were booked under bailable sections of the IPC and the Motor Vehicles Act.
