Uri attack: Army preparing for military action against Pak?

New Delhi: In case the diplomatic efforts fail to yield results, the Indian Army is preparing itself for a possible military action against Pakistan. The Army and the Air Force are working in close coordination for this action. The preparations are being closely monitored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, reports suggest

Covert or overt strikes on Pakistani targets are being considered. Deep and shallow raids by the army across the border are not being ruled out. Army has also made detailed presentation with models and maps before the PM in presence of the National Security Adviser. There has been forward movement of troops and ammunition, media reports say.

The Indian security establishment is fine-tuning emergency plans to upgrade its readiness in case a need arises.

However, sources ruled out any knee-jerk reaction saying that the military action will be an immensely calculated one.

Meanwhile, Pakistan too is beefing up its troop presence and artillery positions along the border.
