Video: LIVE PM Modi's return gift to Varanasi costs nearly Rs 600

New Delhi, News24 Bureau, Sep 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Varanasi for two days and has gifted nearly Rs 600 crores to BHU. This is his return gift to the city as the PM celebrated his birthday in the holy city.

PM Modi was also seen launching several development projects and public rally in Varanasi. 

PM Modi spent his birthday in a unique way as he spent time with 300 school children at Narur village. He shared the secret of his successful life and the overwhelmed children, who called him Kaka Modi, gifted handmade cards and flowers to him. Here are the highlights of his speech from Varanasi:

-Efforts are being made to clean river Ganga from Gangotri to Ganga Sagar. Till now, schemes worth Rs 21,000 crore approximately have been approved towards cleaning of river Ganga: PM Narendra Modi in Varanasi

He called the children “future of India”, and asked them to involve themselves in physical exercise so that they sweat at least four times a day. “Jo khelta hai, wahi khilta hai” (the one who plays is the one who blooms),” he said, advising them to pro-gress by putting in hard work and never get disheartened by obstacles.
