New Delhi, 26 Oct: Forbes magazine has come up with the latest Fab 40 list, shocking everyone, the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has jumped up in the list of top 10 athletes for their brand value, in the latest list Kohli has beaten football star Lionel Messi, Rory McIlory and Golden State Warriors' shooter Stephen Curry.
Having the brand value at USD 14.5 million Kohli stands on the seventh position in the list of top 10 athletes for their brand value.
With the current brand value of USD 37.2 million, Tennis legend Roger Federer has topped the list, which is 3.3 percent higher than his own record in 2016. Federer is followed by Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron James with USD 33.4 million, who has come down by 1.8 percent from previous year.
Retired athletics legend Usain Bolt ranks third in the list with a brand value of USD 27 million followed by Cristiano Ronaldo with USD 21.5 million and Phil Mickleson with USD 19.6 million.
With the brand value of USD 16.6 million Tiger Woods is ahead of Kohli, which is 27.8 percent less than this previous year's brand value. Kohli and Curry are included for the first time in the list.
